God’s Deliverance Ezra 6:19-22
Road to Redemption - “The Sweet 16”
Eve’s Offspring will crush Satan’s head (Genesis 3)
Abraham is blessed by God to be a blessing to others. (Genesis 12)
Abraham & Sarah have Issac in their old age. (Genesis 17)
Issac has twin sons and one is named Jacob (Genesis 25)
God blesses Jacob (Israel) and gives Him 12 sons (Genesis 29). The fourth one is Judah.
God saves Jacob & sons by sending them to Egypt where they grow in numbers. (Genesis 47)
God delivers His people through Moses from Egyptian slavery (Exodus).
God provides for His people in the wilderness for 40 years (Numbers)
God establishes His people in the promised land (Joshua)
God delivers His people from their consequences of sin (Judges)
God establishes King David (from the tribe of Judah) and promises His “descendant” will be on the throne forever (2 Samuel)
God sends His people to exile for 70 years for their sinfulness (Jeremiah)
God brings His people back , primarily tribe of Judah. (Ezra)
God comes in the flesh (Jesus) to deliver us from our sin (The Gospels). He crushes the power of Satan (1 John 3:8)
The church era begins and starts to share the good news about Jesus Christ (Acts)
Jesus will come again to bring about the New Heaven & Earth and destroy forever Sin & Satan! (Revelation 22)
What’s Happening
They have rebuilt the temple.
They are now in April (515 BC)
They are celebrating the Passover & Feast of Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:4-8)
They are celebrating that God is all Powerful! (Proverbs 21:1)
Application:
Pray for God to help you to never get over His deliverance.
1. Never getting over His Deliverance begins with an undivided heart. (vs. 19-20)
- 2 Chronicles 29:34 & 1 Peter 2:9
2. Never getting over His deliverance means you’re not the only one being delivered. (vs. 21)
- Philemon 1:6
3. Never getting over His deliverance’s means you are satisfied in Him getting all the credit! (vs 22)
