Confession’s Company

Repentance is a gift from God where a person’s attitude about God and that person’s sin changes.  

Two things happen when Repentance takes place:

1. Confession 

2. Action 

Truth is clear. (vs 1-2)

1 John 1:8-10

Sorrow is great. (vs 3-4)

2 Corinthians 7:10-11

Desperation is apparent. (vs 5)

Psalm 51:15-17

Humility is present (vs 6 & 7)

Luke 5:5-11

Grace is recognized (vs 8 & 9)

Psalm 32:1 

Ownership is accepted (vs 10-12)

Luke 19:5-8

Mercy is remembered (vs 13)

Proverbs 28:13 

The Lord is acknowledged (vs 14-15)

Romans 10:8-10 

Application:

1. Are you willing to confess Jesus is Lord?

2. Are you willing to confess your sins to Him?

3. Do you need to confess your sin to someone? - James 5:16
