Rebuilding Our Walk with the Lord | Ezra 3

Ezra 3:1-5

Background 

- God is restoring His people back to their land after 70 years of captivity.

- They came over around April / May 537 BC 

- They assembled in September / October in Jerusalem to build an altar 

- Later in the chapter they will assemble in the Spring of 2nd year to begin the work on the temple.  

1. We don't have to do it alone! (vs. 1 & 2) 

- Ephesians 4:1-6 

2. We must bring our fears to the Lord! (vs. 3)

- Psalm 56:3-4 

3. We must allow Jesus to deal with our sin problem (vs. 3) 

- 1 John 1:8-2:2 

4. We must remember the Lord's faithfulness (vs. 4) 

- Lamentations 3:22-23 

5. We must give thanks to the Lord for what He has done for you. (vs. 5) 

- Psalm 9:1
