That I May Know Him


Philippians 3:7-11


Truth #1: True intimacy with Jesus begins with surrender—counting all things as loss. (vv 7,8)


Hebrews 11:24-26


Truth #2: Suffering reveals whether Christ is our treasure or merely our convenience. (v 8b)


Jeremiah 9:23,24


Truth #3: Suffering humbles us into dependence on Jesus’s righteousness, not our own. (v 9)


Titus 3:4-7


Truth #4: Suffering is not abandonment—it’s communion with Jesus. (v 10a)


Hebrews 2:10


Truth #5: Suffering conforms is to the image of Christ and prepares us for glory. (v 10b, 11)


James 1:2-4


It is through suffering we truly come to know Jesus intimately and become like Him. 


Romans 6:5-8


To the lost: 

Do you know Him?

Repent and put your trust in Jesus’s finished work in His crucifixion and resurrection. 


To the Church:

Don’t waste your suffering. Let it drive you to the feet of Jesus. 

In the fellowship of His suffering, we find the sweetest communion.
